Region 4 Convention and Annual Awards Banquet

Our Annual Awards Banquet is in recognition of not only the significant accomplishments of our competitors in 2015, but also the contributions of our volunteers who make every ride possible. This event is OPEN on RMS now!!
Call 979-731-5300 for hotel reservations at the Best Western Premier Old Town Center Hotel (www.BestWestern.com/premieroldtowncenter) for Friday and/or Saturday nights. We have a special rate of $125 per night plus tax, which includes a full breakfast each day. This rate is only good through Feb. 5, so call soon and tell them you are with “NATRC”. Registration will begin Friday evening 5-10 p.m. in the hospitality room, as well as Saturday morning at 6:30-8:30 am. Come on by and pick up your welcome packet and convention T-Shirt. Please bring your favorite snack or beverage to share. Along with great fellowship, there will be a screening of the new documentary “Unbranded”!
The Awards Banquet will kick off at 5 p.m. with a special presentation planned by the Catelena Cowgirls! The Banquet will follow at 6:00 in the hotel ballroom and will be catered by Buppies. You must register for the banquet in advance on NATRC’s RMS (www.natrc4.org) by Feb. 20 so that a meal count can be given to the caterer. The cost for the banquet gourmet meal is $30 per adult. Your entrée choice may be selected as you enter on the RMS site or contact Cara Kale at (443) 850-0858.
There will be a vendor area and a Silent Auction benefiting the region Saturday evening. Kricket Dooley is chairing this area, and welcomes any silent auction items or vendors (booths available for $20 for the weekend). Please contact her at (979) 219-7539. In addition, there will be a lovely hand-made quilt raffle, tickets for $1.00.
Your convention program starts at 8:30 Saturday morning at the hotel. We have a wonderful line-up of speakers, including our own Betsy Zimmerman who will introduce and review the use of Easy Boots in NATRC competition. Other topics include equine acupuncture, saddle fitting, hoof trimming and care for distance riding, and issues of the equine teeth, jaw and sinus.
Lunch will be on your own, with multiple choices of restaurants within walking distance. Saturday afternoon activities available include tours of the George Bush library, the new Hilldebrand Equine Center at Texas A&M, Messina Hof Winery, the Texas Equine Hospital, the Franklin Safari Drive-Through farm, as well as great shopping!
Sunday morning we will have a 7:30 devotional in the hotel boardroom, followed by an 8:00 am Region 4 Board of Directors meeting. All members are invited to attend.
